  General Notes:

Annie cared for her two grandsons William and Alvin Hoppes after the death of their father and also her brother Elmor who was handicapped with an almost total hearing loss.
She remarried a man, after Peter's death, named Ray Harmon who was despised by most of the family. He eventually left due to animosity from the family.
The death of her husband Peter in 1923 left Annie in good shape financially. He was reported to have one hundred thousand dollars at the time of his death which was a substantial sum in those days. A consequence of the depression and bad loans left her with very little money. A substantial amount of money was moved from the Dwight bank to the Junction City bank before the depression. Unfortunately the bank in Junction City went broke and defaulted on all of the money of depositors. Ironically the Dwight bank remained solvent. ^3,8
