Went by the name Elmor. Was very hard of hearing so was denied an education. He lived with his sister Viletta Swenson. he died in a rest home in Council Grove, Kansas
The name on has headstone is misspelled. His middle name was Elmor but is misspelled as Elmer on his stone.
Elmor traveled with his brother W.I. Swain's show for a couple of years. Sometime during that time he married a show girl that he met with the show. Evidently she did not take to the quiet life in Dwight, Kansas and left a short time after her and Elmor returned to Dwight. It is believed that they had no children and Elmor never remarried.
