Clay Hutsler, about thirty years old, Benton county WPA foreman, was fatally injured about 7:15 o'clock this morning in a motor car collision as he was on his way to a WPA road project, located either or ten miles from Cole Camp. He died at 12:30 this afternoon at the Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia, Mo.
The accident occurred a short distance southwest of Cole Camp on the old Warsaw stage road. Hutsler driving a Chevrolet, was alone in the car and traveling north. His car collided head on with a truck owned by Rudy Behrens of Cole Camp, and driven by a Negro man. The latter was not injured.
Hutsler was brought to Sedalia in the Eickhoff ambulance of Cole Camp and given treatment at the hospital here.
Hutsler, with his family reside southwest of Cole Camp. He leaves his wife and four children,his mother Mrs Hettie Hutsler, Hanrahan of Cole Camp, three sisters one of whom is Mrs James Herbert Young of Georgetown, Mo, a half sister and a half-brother.
Date of accident October 23, 1939.
