John CLARKE

  General Notes:

John was made free man in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 1632, removed to Hartford Connecticut, with Reverend Thomas Hooker Company 1636. Removed to Saybrook probably about 1645 and then to Norwich about 1660. He moved to Milford about 1664 where he died 1673 or 1674. He was a representative for Saybrook from 1651 to 1664 and was one of the signers of the Royal Charter of 1662 (Connecticut). He was a representatives for Milford for many years.

John married Mary COLEY, daughter of John COLEY and Unknown, about 1648. (Mary COLEY was born about 1610 and died after 1633.)

John next married Mary Fletcher WARD after 1653.
