In Harriet Stone's DAR application (D.A.R. National # 445) she states that "My mother was sick in bed with her third confinement with a pair of twin boys, Jobe & John Leonard born August 1814 - under these interesting circumstances my father shouldered his knapsack and musket and for the Battle of Platsburgh[sic] which occurred Sep 3, 1814.
